Paula Abdul's Live to Dance Picks Its First Winner

The voters have spoken – and the winners of the inaugural season of Paula Abdul's Live to Dance are only 9 and 10 years old.

Known as dancing duo D'Angelo and Amanda, D'Angelo Castro, 9, and Amanda Carbajales, 10, won the title of best dance act in America, as well as a $500,000 prize on Wednesday night – and the youngsters are ready to celebrate.

"We are going to a friend's house ... and we're going to go in the pool!" Castro tells PEOPLE.

The duo consistently wowed viewers, as well as the experts, with their ballroom expertise.

"They're extraordinary," executive producer Abdul tells PEOPLE. "Their technique, their choreography, it's unparalleled. You can't believe its all [coming from] these little bodies!"

Castro plans to "save the money" while Carbajales hopes to take a trip to Italy.

"We will keep dancing together for a long time because we're a really good couple," Castro says of the duo's future. "People say we dance really well together."
