Kinder Morgan shares trade 5.5 percent above IPO price.
(Reuters) - Shares of pipeline company Kinder Morgan Inc (KMI.N) traded at $31.65 on Friday, 5.5 percent above its initial public offering price in early New York Stock Exchange Trading.
On Thursday, Houston based Kinder Morgan sold 95.5 million shares for $30 each -- more shares than expected and at a price above the expected range.
It was the largest U.S. energy IPO since 1998, according to Thomson Reuters data.
